$1 million Wednesday Lotto win in Broken Hill!

Thursday 16 October, 2014 - The countdown may be on to tonight’s $50 million Powerball draw but one Broken Hill couple are already millionaires after winning a $1 million division one prize in last night’s Wednesday Lotto draw!

The winning man said he wasn’t surprised when NSW Lotteries contacted him this morning with the big news.

“When I got the newspaper this morning, I looked at the Wednesday Lotto draw results and immediately thought the winning numbers were close to my regular lotto numbers,” the excited winner explained.

“So I grabbed my ticket to check it. When I realised we had all six winning numbers, I was surprisingly calm. My wife though – she wasn’t calm at all! She was crying and overwhelmed when she realised that we’d won $1 million!”

The winners, who wish to remain anonymous, said they’re going to take their time and think about what they’d like to do with their Wednesday Lotto windfall.

“We’ve got children so they’ll be benefiting from our $1 million win!”

The winning 12-game marked entry was purchased at Barrier Stationers, 331 Argent Street in Broken Hill.

There were two entries that won a first division prize in Wednesday Lotto 3391 which offers a guaranteed division one prize of $1 million for up to four winners in each draw. Along with the winning entry from Broken Hill, the other winning ticket was sold in Victoria.

The winning numbers in Wednesday Lotto draw 3391 on Wednesday 15 October, 2014 were 42, 11, 24, 19, 40 and 6 with the supplementary numbers of 10 and 4.
