Million dollar Monday Lotto ticket bought in Mordialloc!

Tuesday 14 October, 2014 - A man in Melbourne woke up a millionaire today after last night’s Monday Lotto draw!

The man in his 50s has claimed a division one prize of $1 million from the Monday Lotto draw overnight thanks to a ticket he purchased in Mordialloc.

The delighted winner and his wife spoke to a Tatts official today about their life-changing news.

“I’ve been playing Monday Lotto for a few years using numbers that I’ve chosen based on previous numbers drawn and numbers that I asked my family to pick,” the winner explained.

“He was very confident of winning one day! He would always tell us!” his wife added.

“Well, my system worked! We’re going to buy a house and share some of the prize money with our children as well,” the winner said.

Tatts spokesperson Zoe Knobel said it’s great that the winner’s chosen numbers came up in last night’s Monday Lotto draw.

“Many players have special ways of choosing their lotto numbers, from special birth dates to those drawn at random out of a hat,” Ms Knobel said.

“While our players each have their own preferred methods for marking numbers on their lotto coupons, it’s helpful to remember that lotto is a random game of chance and every number has an equal chance of being drawn.”

The unregistered division one winning Monday Lotto 18-game marked ticket was purchased from Lucky Touch Lotto & Gifts, 206 Lower Dandenong Road in Mordialloc.

The winner has claimed a total prize of $1,000,054.40 and has chosen to remain anonymous. The winning numbers in Monday Lotto draw 3390 on Monday 13 October, 2014 were 7, 34, 23, 33, 1 and 40 with the supplementary numbers of 18 and 8.

Monday & Wednesday Lotto offers players a guaranteed $1 million division one prize for up to four winners every Monday and Wednesday each week.

Don’t forget you have another chance to win big this week in Powerball’s $50 MILLION jackpot on Thursday 16 October! Tickets are on sale now from Tatts.com and in-store at all Tatts outlets.
