Lewis Hamilton looks to make it four wins in a row.

Not once have Russian Formula fans been able to witness a Grand Prix in their backyard first hand. That’s until now! The Russian GP will be contested for the first time ever in Sochi this weekend, and the new circuit may be what is needed to throw a spanner in the ‘Team Mercedes’ works.

Lewis Hamilton has dominated field on the last three occasions, and the Englishman is the favourite to take out Sunday’s event. Wet weather failed to prevent Hamilton winning in Japan last time out, with the victory at Suzuka his eighth this season. The Japanese GP, however, was marred by a horrific high-speed crash from Jules Bianchi.

Outright second in the betting market is Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg . The German finished in second spot last time out, and he’ll be hoping to cut down the 10-point advantage Hamilton currently holds over him in the Drivers Championship. Also well in the market is Aussie young gun Daniel Ricciardo and Red Bull teammate Sebastian Vettel , who announced midweek he would be quitting the team next year.
