Thursday morning’s UCL match-up sees Athletico Madrid  host Juventus  in Group A of the competition.

Athletico Madrid were seconds away from claiming a maiden Champions League trophy last year, however a stoppage-time goal sparked an unprecedented comeback from city rivals Real. The Spanish champions look strong again this season, however they fell to a shock 3-2  loss away to Olympiacos in their Group A opener. Diego Simeone knows his side must get something out of their home clash against Juve, however they could be without injured captain Gabi.

Juventus’ offseason was plagued with drama on and off the field, but you would have barely known considering their explosive start of the season. The Italian giants have won all six opening matches in Italy and Europe without conceding a goal, and they have their eyes firmly set on making it a seventh. Massimiliano Allegri’s side failed to qualify from the group stages in 2013, but a win in Madrid will go a long way to ensuring they qualify to the round of 16 this time.

Home ground advantage sees Athletico claim favouritism heading into Thursday’s match, however both are the same quote to win the competition at $23. Big bets on the match with TattsBet have been few and far, however one punter thinks the contest will end all square, laying $1000 on the draw .
