Rosehill Racing Preview - September 28

**TattsBet $134,849 Quadrella Jackpot (SR5, SR6, SR7 & SR8)**

Golden Pendant (SR5) – Driefontein beat several of these in the Sheraco Stakes last time out and there is nothing to suggest that she won’t be competitive here again. She is yet to win over further than 1200m but will get a good run on the pace from gate two and will be hard to catch. Bennetta was fourth beaten just over a length behind Gai Waterhouse’s filly last time out but will have come on for that run and will be better suited by the extra 200m. Red Tracer is one of the most honest mares in training and will run a good race first up from a spell after winning the Group One Tatt’s Tiara at Eagle Farm in June, while Artic Flight and Appearance will also run well.
Selections: Red Tracer, Bennetta, Driefontein, Artic Flight

Gloaming Stakes (SR6) – Savvy Nature has always shown plenty of promise for John O’Shea and is now starting to reach his full potential as he races over more ground. The son of Savabeel scored a dominant victory in the Spring Stakes at Newcastle last week and won’t be inconvenienced by the step up to 1800m, although he hasn’t been done any favours by drawing the widest gate. Drago was a little bit disappointing in the Golden Rose but two weeks ago but ran a huge race to finish second in the Up & Coming Stakes over an unsuitably short 1300m first up. He has won over this distance in the past and will be ready to fire with two runs under his belt this preparation. Hydro and Shikra are both well-bred and can run well at odds.
Selections: Savvy Nature, Drago, Shikra, Hydro

**TattsBet Double Trio (SR7 & SR8)**

Shannon Stakes (SR7) – Victorian trainer Greg Eurell probably holds the key to this race, saddling up two progressive gallopers in Your Honour and Hosting. Your Honour has produced two strong runs without winning since returning from a ten months absence and will be hard to beat here. He will strip much fitter for those outings and will be well suited by the step up in trip. Hosting had a big boom on him as a three year-old but failed to deliver, although he is now starting to fulfil his potential. He is unbeaten this time and this is a big step up in class but he will be in the finish. High Esteem ran second to Guy Walter’s highly regarded galloper Toydini at Newcastle last week and will run well on the pace, while Hoylonny has trialled well and can produce a big performance after being gelded.
Selections: Your Honour, Hosting, High Esteem, Hoylonny

BM 85 Handicap (SR8) – Magic Cassius returned from a long injury layoff with a strong win in the Hurricane at Newcastle last week and will again be competitive here. The six year-old has had eight career starts for six wins and a third but has drawn wide here and has a big weight. Heart Testa did enough on his reappearance to suggest that he can be competitive in a race like this when resuming behind two smart horses. He was competitive in black type events last time in and will be in the finish. Golden Sunshine and Agent can improve and are capable of running into a place.
Selections: Heart Testa, Magic Cassius, Agent, Golden Sunshine
