Gold Coast couple unaware of win for more than a week!

Wednesday 25 September, 2013 - A Gold Coast couple got the shock of their lives when they were told the Saturday Gold Lotto ticket they were about to throw away had won them more than $470,000!

The shocked winners, who wish to remain anonymous, were unaware their unregistered entry in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3355 on 14 September had won a share in division one worth $472,444.65.

“I’ve got the giggles!” the shocked husband said.

“You can’t be for real. We never win anything,” the shocked wife added.

“I had the ticket in my handbag and I’d taken it out and put it on the table to throw out.

“My husband told me I should check the numbers again!”

Golden Casket always recommends players register their lotto entries to a Golden Casket Winners Circle Card as it not only secures their prize, but also ensures they can be contacted directly with news of a division one win.

The winning 18-game QuickPick entry was purchased at IGA Everyday Waterways Supermarket, Shop 14 in Waterway Wonderland Shopping Centre, corner of Karbunya Street and Sunshine Boulevard, Mermaid Waters.

The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3355 on 14 September 2013 were 20, 28, 34, 11, 40 and 3 with the supplementary numbers of 25 and 39.

Throughout Australia, there were nine entries that won a first division share of Saturday Gold Lotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool on 14 September, each worth $472,444.65. Along with the winning ticket purchased in Mermaid Waters, a further three winning entries were sold in Queensland, three were purchased in New South Wales, and one each in Victoria and Western Australia.
