England  and Australia  will be hoping to at least get a match in when they meet in the 4th ODI at Sophia Gardens on Saturday, after two of the first three matches in the series were washed out. The tourists scored a comfortable 88 run victory in game two at Old Trafford last weekend to go 1-0 up and can secure a series win with victory in either of the last two fixtures.

Josh Hazelwood was brought into the Australian XI for the 3rd ODI at Edgbaston earlier this week at the expense Fawad Ahmed  due to the pitch conditions, but the leg spinner is likely to earn a recall in Cardiff with the wicket expected to provide some assistance for the tweakers. Mitchell Johnson  has earnt plenty of praise for his efforts in the limited overs matches leading the attack and will again be given that responsibility as he eyes a Test recall for the Ashes at the end of the year. Aaron Finch  and Shaun Marsh  have been paired together at the top of the order throughout the limited overs portion of the tour and will again form a dangerous opening partnership  for the tourists.

England will persist with Michael Carberry  at the top of the order for the rest of the series, despite the fact he has scored just 15 runs in three innings since being recalled to the national side. The Hampshire opener had a stellar season in domestic season but is yet to transfer that form to the bigger stage. Kevin Pietersen , Eoin Morgan  and Jos Buttler  all struck half centuries in a losing cause in Manchester and will be looking to continue their good form, while Steven Finn will continue to lead the attack in the absence of James Anderson, Stuart Broad and Graeme Swann.

Australia has a poor record at Sophia Gardens, losing three of the four 50 over matches it has played at the ground, including the infamous defeat to Bangladesh eight year ago. England on the other hand has won its past three completed matches here.
