Premier League champions Manchester United  will be looking for just its second league win of the season when it welcomes Crystal Palace  to Old Trafford on Saturday night (AEST). Since scoring a dominant 4-1  victory over Swansea on the opening weekend of the season, the Red Devils have collected just a solitary point, courtesy of a 0-0  draw against Chelsea here at the end of August. Wayne Rooney is unlikely to feature for United as he continues to recover from a head injury sustained at training last week, with Danny Welbeck  likely to partner Robin Van Persie  up front. Marouane Fellaini could debut for the Champions after signing for the club on transfer deadline day before leaving for international duty with Belgium.

Crystal Palace scored its first win since returning to the top flight with a 3-1 victory over Sunderland two weeks ago, after losing its first two league fixtures of the season against Stoke and Tottenham. Loan signings Barry Bannan and Cameron Jerome  are both likely to feature at Old Trafford for the first time since joining the club, but former Huddersfield defender Jack Hunt will have to wait for his first Premier League appearance after breaking his ankle in training this week.

Manchester United has never lost to Crystal Palace in the top flight, with six wins and two draws  from eight Premier League meetings between the clubs. With United failing to score in either of their previous two matches, David Moyes could employ an attacking formation against the Eagles which could ensure there are plenty of goals  in this early kickoff.
