$2.5 Million Mid-Year Megadraw prize claimed!

Friday 5 July, 2013 - The search is over for the multi-millionaire who won an amazing $2.5 million in Saturday Lotto’s $30 Million Mid-Year Megadraw with an unregistered ticket purchased in Cessnock.

The winner, who wishes to remain completely anonymous, has come forward to claim their multi-million dollar prize!

NSW Lotteries spokesperson Belinda McDougall said the winning entry was not registered to a NSW Lotteries Players Club card so NSW Lotteries had no way of contacting the winner with news of their multi-millionaire status.

“Instead of being able to phone to tell them they’d won a $2.5 million division one prize, we had to wait for the winner to contact us,” Ms McDougall said.

“Lotto players are always encouraged to register their lottery purchases to their NSW Lotteries Players Club card because not only does it ensure your prize is secure, but it also means you can be contacted directly with news of a big win.”

The winning 18-game QuickPick was sold from Cessnock Plaza Newsagency, Shop 2 in Cessnock Plaza, corner Darwin and Keene Streets, Cessnock.

Twelve winners across Australia won a division one share worth $2.5 million in Saturday Gold Lotto’s $30 Million Mid-Year Megadraw. Along with the four winning entries sold in New South Wales, there were three winning tickets from Victoria, two each in Queensland and Western Australia, and one winning entry was sold in South Australia.

The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto’s $30 Million Mid-Year Megadraw 3333 on 29 June 2013 were 31, 25, 22, 42, 26, and 11 with the supplementary numbers 8 and 1.
