Wendouree woman teases husband with win!

Monday 15 July, 2013 - This morning Tatts contacted a woman in Wendouree, Ballarat to break the news that she’d won a division one TattsLotto prize of $516,449.07 in Saturday’s draw!

The great-grandmother said she was utterly stunned by the phone call.

“It’s too early for this!” the winner exclaimed.

“My husband is here in the background laughing like mad! I can see him already writing a list of how to spend the money,” she laughed.

The woman said she’d like to buy a new car with the prize money and go away on holiday with her husband.

“We are well and truly retired so this prize money will be wonderful for us,” the winner said.

“My husband thinks he’ll be spending it but I can tell you, I’m not letting him near it!” she joked.

The woman purchased her winning 12-game marked TattsLotto entry from Wendouree News & Lotto, 1215A Howitt Street in Wendouree.

There was also another division one winning entry purchased in Victoria from Tatts.com. The two friends who purchased their System 9 TattsLotto entry online will split a first division prize and other divisional prizes totalling $574,831.57.

The man and woman have been purchasing TattsLotto tickets together for years and are overwhelmed that their numbers came up on the weekend.

“We’ve already celebrated with a few bottles of French champagne!” the winning man said.

“I’m going to use my half of the prize money to fix up my drive-way and my friend said the first thing she’ll do is get her teeth fixed. It’s such a relief to have the money now to do those things we couldn’t afford before.”

Throughout Australia, there were eight entries that won a first division share of TattsLotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool on 13 July 2013, each worth $516,449.07. Along with two winning entries sold in Victoria, there were three in Queensland, one in Tasmania and two in Western Australia.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3337 on Saturday 13 July, 2013 were 9, 14, 37, 40, 27 and 5 with the supplementary numbers 18 and 38.
