Kensington forklift driver wins $1 million in Wednesday Lotto!

Thursday 11 April, 2013 - A forklift driver from Kensington has claimed a $1 million Wednesday Lotto prize from last night’s draw!

A Tatts official spoke to the man in his late 60s today and he said he said there’s one thing on the top of his to-do list now that he’s a millionaire.

“I’ve been waiting to retire; now’s the time! I’ll be going into work tomorrow morning to give a fortnight’s notice!” he said excitedly.

“I’m still in pretty good shape, but I’ve worked hard all my life, now it’s time to relax.”

The man was very candid when he expressed his happiness at winning Wednesday Lotto overnight.

“I’ve played TattsLotto for around 40 years, just waiting to win. You beauty!

“I don’t think I’ll be sleeping tonight. I might go and have a couple of beers now to settle my nerves.”

The winner said he doesn’t have any extravagant plans for the prize money, but would like to do some travelling.

“I’m not the type of bloke to travel overseas much, but I’d like to see more of Australia,” he said.

The winning System 7 entry was purchased from Flemington Florist Lotto, 294 Racecourse Road in Flemington. The winner has chosen to remain anonymous.

Along with the Victorian winner in last night’s Wednesday Lotto draw, a player in New South Wales also won $1 million.

The winning numbers in Wednesday Lotto draw 3233 on 27 February 2013 were 26, 14, 35, 10, 31 and 44 with the supplementary numbers 21 and 37.
