Despite having gone two matches without a win in the Premier League, Liverpool  will be confident of collecting three points when they welcome West Bromwich Albion  to Anfield on Tuesday morning (AEST).

After making a poor start under new boss Brendan Rogers, Liverpool has turned things around in recent times and finds itself in seventh on the League table after collecting a point  against high placed teams Arsenal and Manchester City in its two most recent fixtures. England striker Daniel Sturridge has been a revelation since signing for the Reds, with four goals since joining the club, while skipper Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez have also found the back of the net in the past two matches.

Ninth placed West Brom has defied its critics to be comfortably placed away from the relegation zone, but recent performers have been below par. The Baggies have failed to win any of their past eight matches and haven’t collected three points in the League since beating bottom placed QPR 2-1 on Boxing Day. While there is no shame in going down 1-0 to high flying Tottenham, manager Steve Clarke will want to see his side get out the rut that they have found themselves in recently.

West Bromwich Albion were 3-0  victors when these teams met at the Hawthorns on the opening weekend of the season, but Liverpool got revenge with a 2-1  win away from home in the League Cup a month later. If the Reds are successful in this match, it will be their first League win over a team in the top half of the table this season.
