Missing Mulwala Saturday Lotto winner found!

Monday 14 October, 2013 - The month-long search for the mystery winner who scored more than $470,000 with unregistered Saturday Lotto entry purchased in Mulwala is over.

A retired couple, who wish to remain anonymous, came forward to claim their prize four weeks after the draw!

The winning man said the ticket had been kept in a safe place in a cupboard.

“We weren’t aware that NSW Lotteries had been looking for a winner!” the winning man exclaimed.

“We didn’t even know that they’d been a win in the area until we went to the newsagency and saw a sign that read they’d sold a division one winning entry.

“When I checked our ticket, I shook like jelly for five minutes! My wife ran up and down on the spot.

“We’ve just started building a house and we’d been cutting back on things because we couldn’t afford to do them - but now we can.”

NSW Lotteries always recommends customers register their entries to a NSW Lotteries Players Club Card as it ensures their prize is secure and that NSW Lotteries can contact them directly with news of a big win.

The winning entry in draw 3355 was purchased from Mulwala Newspower, 47 Melbourne Street, Mulwala.

Throughout Australia there were nine entries that won a first division share of Saturday Lotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool on 14 September, each worth $472,444.65. Along with the winning ticket sold in Mulwala, a further two winning entries were purchased in New South Wales, four were sold in Queensland, and one each in Victoria and Western Australia.

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 3355 on 14 September 2013 were 20, 28, 34, 11, 40 and 3 with the supplementary numbers of 25 and 39.
