Two Campbelltown Lotto players score $1 million each in Wed Lotto

Thursday 16 August 2012 - Two Lotto players who purchased their Wednesday Lotto tickets in Campbelltown each won a $1 million division one prize in last night’s Wednesday Lotto draw.

This great news for Campbelltown Lotto players follows a local woman’s $1 million Monday Lotto win on 6 August.

In an interesting twist to Campbelltown’s Lotto hat trick, both of the $1 million winning Wednesday Lotto tickets in last night’s draw were sold from Macarthur Square Newsagency.

Macarthur Square Newsagency owner, Lawrence Li is over the moon to add two more wins to their list.

“I’ve been waiting for some time to have a big win, it has been nearly two years since we sold a division one winning ticket and to get two in one draw is just amazing,” Mr Li said.

“We have been here for nearly three years and have lots of regular customers, most of whom are registered Players Club members.

“It’s wonderful to know that two of my customers have won Lotto and have new lives as millionaires to look forward to.” Mr Li added.

Both of last night’s $1 million winners are registered players and will be contacted by NSW Lotteries officials to confirm their windfall.

NSW Lotteries spokesperson Una O’Neill, said that it is not every day one outlet sells two division one winning tickets in the same Lotto draw.

“It is unusual to see two division one winning tickets in one draw purchased from the same NSW Lotteries outlet but not impossible.

“Staff at Macarthur Square Newsagency can certainly celebrate their unusual success,” Ms O’Neill said.

The winning numbers in Wednesday Lotto, draw 3165, were 33, 2, 16, 37, 17 and 21 with the supplementary numbers 42 and 6.
