Werribee community receives boost with $1 million TattsLotto win!

Monday 13 August, 2012 - There will be plenty of celebrations taking place in Werribee today after a 10-member syndicate took out a first division prize of more than $1 million in Saturday TattsLotto’s $20 million Superdraw!

The winning syndicate was operated by Hudsons Lotto & Dry Cleaning, Shop 5 at 145 Watton Street, Werribee and has claimed a total prize of $1,059,266.98.

Outlet owners Jenny and Alan Walgers said the news comes at a great time for the community.

“A first division win like this is good for our business, but it’s also really good for the town,” Mr Walgers said.

“The town’s been struggling a bit lately, so we’re really pleased we’ve had a syndicate win where the prize money will be shared between 10 local people.

“So far I think the news is still sinking in for them, but I’ve heard that some winners are thinking about putting the money towards their home or a new car.

“This is our third division one win in the four years we’ve owned the outlet, so we seem to have fairly good odds.”

The Werribee syndicate was one of 19 winners nationally in TattsLotto draw 3241 on 11 August 2012. There were five more in Victoria, four in New South Wales, three in Queensland, three in Western Australia, two in the Northern Territory and one in South Australia.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3241 were 38, 31, 32, 21, 22 and 27 with the supplementary numbers 10 and 16. There were also 131 division two winners who took home $10,731.15 each.
