Central Queensland workers share in $1 million Gold Lotto win!

Monday 13 August, 2012 - A group of co-workers in Central Queensland got some great news over the weekend when they won more than $1 million in the Saturday Gold Lotto $20 million Superdraw!

The syndicate leader said the group of 15 members is thrilled with their good fortune.

“It was overwhelming to deliver the news to everyone over the weekend,” the syndicate leader said.

“I only suggested starting up this syndicate a month ago and it’s amazing that we’ve won so soon!

“I truly believe it’s the luck of the draw that it happened to us with a simple QuickPick ticket.”

The syndicate leader said the prize money will be used for a range of different things.

“There’s a real mix of people in the group with a variety of ages; some will use the money to care for their young families, while others are looking at using it to retire sooner.

“A few people are thinking about putting the money towards a house deposit, a new investment property or some international travel,” the syndicate leader added.

The winning entry was purchased from Moura Newsagency, 2/25 Gillespie Street in Moura.

Throughout Australia 19 winners shared the $20 million division one prize pool in Saturday Gold Lotto’s Superdraw. Along with the Central Queensland winners, two more winning tickets were in Queensland, six were sold from Tatts, the Victorian based lottery operator, four of the winning tickets were sold in NSW, three in Western Australia, two in the Northern Territory and one in South Australia.

The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3241 were 38, 31, 32, 21, 22 and 27 with the supplementary numbers 10 and 16. There were also 131 division two winners who took home $10,731.15 each.
