The $24.9 million winning Oz Lotto entry sold in Victoria is unregistered

Wednesday 9 May, 2012. 2.00pm - Three winners across three states shared last night’s mammoth $70 million Oz Lotto jackpot, winning more than $24.9 million each. The winning tickets were sold in western Sydney, an Adelaide suburb and the region south-west of Melbourne.

Tatts spokesperson Zoe Knobel confirmed that the winning ticket sold in Victoria is unregistered.

“The $24.9 million winning Oz Lotto ticket sold in the area south-west of Melbourne is not registered to a Tatts Card, so we have no contact details for the winner. It is possible that the winner may not be aware of
their good fortune just yet,” Ms Knobel said.

“We strongly encourage all Oz Lotto players who purchased their ticket in that region to check their entries as soon as possible,” Ms Knobel added.

The Victorian mystery winner was one of three division one winners nationally in Oz Lotto draw 951, along with one winner who purchased their ticket in western Sydney and one in the Adelaide suburbs.

Each winner picked up $24,952,195.76 million overnight. The total division one prize pool grew from $70 million to $74.8 million as a result of strong participation in the draw.

Along with the huge jackpot prize more than 2.2 million prizes were won across Australia in divisions two to seven, sharing in a total prize pool of $119.6 million.

The winning numbers in Oz Lotto’s $70 million draw (951) were 17, 8, 28, 34, 41, 42 and 6. Supplementary numbers were 4 and 19.

Oz Lotto will offer a $2 million division one prize in next week’s draw.

Lotto players still have an opportunity to win big this week with a $20 million Powerball jackpot this Thursday (10 May) and a $20 million Superdraw this Saturday (12 May).
