After losing their first match of the season when going down to Essendon by 61 points a fortnight ago, the West Coast Eagles  bounced back to form with a 30 point win over St Kilda last weekend. Sitting atop the AFL ladder, they will be confident of beating fierce rivals Fremantle on Sunday afternoon, especially with key midfielder Matt Priddis returning from injury.

Fremantle  coach Ross Lyon will be asking for a big performance from his players after they were beaten by 56 points against Hawthorn in round eight. Despite occupying a place in the top eight, the Dockers must find improvement if they are to match it with West Coast.

Where It Will be Won –Nic Naitanui and Dean Cox form one of the most dangerous ruck duos in the competition and dominated the hitouts against St Kilda a week ago. They face a tough task against Aaron Sandilands and Zac Clarke in this match however, who have been equally effective this season. Whichever combination can dominate the hitouts is likely to give their small men clean use of the ball and have a greater chance of influencing the outcome of the match.

Prediction – West Coast scored a thrilling 65-64 win in the most recent Western derby, which was played in round eighteen last season, but should find things a little bit easier this time around. They are flying at the moment and should have too much class for the Dockers, despite the fact that their opponents will lift. West Coast 1-39
