Victorian grandmother wins $3.3 million in TattsLotto Superdraw

Tuesday 15 May - A grandmother from Victoria felt weak at the knees when she received a phone call from Tatts informing her she’d won a first division prize of $3.3 million in Saturday’s $20 million TattsLotto Superdraw.

The first-time winner has been playing TattsLotto with QuickPick entries for over 10 years, and could hardly express how she felt upon hearing the news.

“I’m too excited!” she exclaimed.

“Now I can go on holiday with my family and even buy my own unit.

“This money means I’ll be able to help my children and give some presents to my grandchildren.”

The ecstatic winner purchased her ticket from 99 Spencer Street Lotto at Southern Cross Station in Melbourne.

Store owner Robert Tang was equally excited to hear one of his customers had won.

“It’s funny that we had a first division winner on the weekend, as we only reopened alter renovations on Monday!” he exclaimed.

Saturday’s winner was the second in eight-months for the outlet, after another division one winning ticket was sold by the outlet last year.

“Our last division one winner was in October 2011 when one of our customers scored $530,370 in TattsLotto, and that was the very week we closed for renovations.

“Now that we’re open again all our customers are saying ‘Welcome back, please sell me a winning ticket’, and we say that we hope we will!”

There were six division one winners in TattsLotto Superdraw number 3215 who shared in a division one prize pool of $20 million. Two were in Victoria, two in Western Australia and two in South Australia.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto on Saturday 12 May were 19, 14, 1, 2, 45 and 16 with supplementary numbers 23 and 30.
