Laser Hawk  will be out to win his second Group one race at just his sixth career start when he lines up in the Australian Derby on Saturday. The Gai Waterhouse trained galloper has won four from five, with his last start Rosehill Guineas win easily his best performance. Kiwi raiders Ocean Park  and Silent Achiever  filled the placings in that race and will again be competitive in the Derby, while VRC Derby winner Sangster  is another horse that is likely to represent New Zealand in the race.

Tulloch Stakes winner Polish Knight  will back up following his strong win in the Group 2 contest of Golden Slipper day, while Rekindled Alliance  will also take his chance after chasing Polish Knight home in that race.
