Fairfield winner scores $6 Million Powerball jackpot

Friday 2 March - A Powerball player who purchased their ticket in the Sydney suburb of Fairfield became a multi-millionaire overnight, winning the $6 million jackpot prize in last night’s Powerball.

The winner, a register NSW Lotteries player, will be contacted by NSW Lotteries officials and informed of their good fortune.

The $6 million winning ticket was purchased from Fairfield Railway Bookstall at Fairfield Railway Station, Fairfield.

Proprietor of Fairfield Railway Bookstall, Tony Khouzame, said that he is delighted to finally sell another big win from his shop.

“It’s been a while since we have sold a division one prize, about five years I think, so this is very welcome news,” Mr Khouzame said.

“This is the biggest win we have had in the six years I have had the business. Our customers will be delighted to hear that we have sold a big prize, they will all be hoping that they are next,” Mr Khouzame added.

The winning ticket scored the entire $6 million Powerball jackpot in draw 821 on Thursday 1 March.

The winning numbers were 43, 38, 37, 39 and 42 with the Powerball 27.
