Green vs Cameron

Danny Green will fight for his fourth world title.
At 39 years of age and following a couple of aborted retirements, Danny Green will step back in to the ring on Wednesday night when he takes on New Zealander Shane Cameron in Melbourne. The pair face off in a battle for take the vacant IBO world cruiserweight title.

After defeats by Antonio Tarver and Krzysztof Wlodarczyk in 2011 - both by technical knockout - Green stepped back to the light heavyweight division to take on Danny Santiago earlier this year. The West Australian dominated the fight, putting Santiago on the canvas four times before the bout was stopped in the fifth round.

He’ll step back up to cruiserweight for the stoush with Cameron, who will have to drop from his regular fighting weight of around 97kg to make the 90.7kg limit for the division. Cameron last went around as a heavyweight in July when he sent American Monte Barrett to the floor, but he has fought three times as a cruiserweight throughout a career in which he has compiled a 29-2 record.

Green, who has a 32-5 overall record, is aiming for his fourth world title.
