Monday 2 June, 2014 - An ACT man said he’s walking on clouds after winning a $687,000 division one share in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw!
The winner, who is in his 60s, was unaware he’d won a division one Lotto prize of $687,270.59 until a NSW Lotteries official contacted him this morning with the big news.
“Are you are kidding me?” the winner initially questioned.
“Blimey! I’ve cracked the big one!
“It’s funny because I was down at the shopping centre this morning and as I walked past the newsagency I saw a notice that said they’d sold a division one winning ticket.
“I thought at the time wouldn’t that be nice but never considered it was me until you called!”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, said it was too early to say what he’ll do with this Saturday Lotto windfall.
“I know the prize money will remove some of my stress and I’ll take a much-needed holiday down the track!”
The winning entry 24-game QuickPick was purchased from Evatt Newsagency, Shops 3 and 4, Heydon Place in Evatt.
Throughout Australia, there were six entries that won a first division share of Saturday Lotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool, each worth $687,270.59. Along with the winning entry from ACT, there were two winning entries purchased in New South Wales, and one each in Queensland, Victoria and South Australia.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 3429 on 31 May 2014 were 37, 26, 45, 20, 1 and 13 with the supplementary numbers of 27 and 22.
