Monday 16 June, 2014 - Are Victoria’s factory workers manufacturing their own luck? Three division one TattsLotto prizes were won in the state over the weekend in Geelong and Melbourne with yet another big win going to a factory workplace syndicate!
Two of the division one TattsLotto prizes worth $292,341.22 were won in the Geelong area in Saturday’s draw with tickets purchased from Tatts outlets in Norlane and Newcomb.
A syndicate of seven workers at a Fawkner factory has claimed one of the first division prizes with a ticket they purchased from Bellpost Lotto & News in Norlane, continuing a run of factory syndicate wins.
This TattsLotto win for a Fawkner factory syndicate in June follows the 16-member Melbourne factory syndicate win of $15 million in Oz Lotto in May and another syndicate of five factory workers in Campbellfield winning more than $420,000 in TattsLotto in April.
“The seven of us only started playing TattsLotto together about six months ago so they didn’t believe me when I called to tell them we’d already won first division!” the Fawkner syndicate leader said.
“We heard about the factory workers in Melbourne who won $15 million in Oz Lotto a few weeks ago which got us pretty excited.
“I almost forgot to buy our ticket this week too. Lucky I remembered just in time! They would have killed me if our numbers came up but we didn’t have this ticket! We’ll each use our share of about $40,000 to buy a new car or take a holiday, things like that.
“We’ll keep playing together with these numbers now,” he added.
The syndicate’s winning TattsLotto System 9 marked entry was purchased from Bellpost Lotto & News, Shop 13 in Bellpost Shopping Centre, 290 Anakie Road in Norlane. Their System 9 entry-type allowed the group to win a division one prize along with multiple division three and four prizes for a total of $307,026.97.
A retired Grandfather from Leopold also won a first division prize of $292,341.22 in Saturday’s TattsLotto draw with a ticket he purchased from Bellarine Village Lotto in Newcomb!
“This will help the kids out no worries and I’ll pay off my unit,” the winning Grandfather said.
“In 40 years I haven’t missed a week of playing TattsLotto with the same numbers I started with.”
The man purchased his winning TattsLotto System 8 marked entry from Bellarine Village Lotto, Shop 12 in Bellarine Village in Newcomb. His System 8 entry-type allowed him to win a division one prize along with multiple division three and four prizes for a total of $301,802.47.
Another division one winning TattsLotto entry was purchased from Low Price Pharmacy Watsonia at 83 Watsonia Road in Watsonia. The entry is registered to a Tatts Card and Tatts is attempting to contact the winner with the good news.
Throughout Australia, there were 14 entries that won a first division share of TattsLotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool on Saturday 14 June 2014, each worth $292,341.22. Along with the three winning entries purchased in Victoria, there were four each purchased in New South Wales and Western Australia, two in South Australia and one in Queensland.
