Wednesday 11 June, 2014 - Two sets of couples in Merbein and Woori Yallock have each won division one TattsLotto prizes in the last fortnight after playing for 40 years!
A retired couple in Merbein finally came forward this week to claim their first division prize of $687,270.59 from the TattsLotto draw 3429 on 31 May 2014.
“We’ve played these same numbers in TattsLotto for 30 or 40 years but never dreamed of winning!” the woman exclaimed.
“It’s such a surprise we don’t know what we’ll do with the money just yet.”
The couple purchased their winning TattsLotto 12-game marked entry from Merbein Authorised Newsagency, 65 Commercial Street in Merbein.
Another couple in Woori Yallock who are also long-time TattsLotto players won a prize of $1,348,037.55 in Saturday’s draw 3431 on 7 June 2014.
“I’m glad I’m sitting down. I’m shaking!” exclaimed the winning woman to a Tatts official today.
“I honestly have no idea what we’ll do with this prize money. I can’t wait to tell my husband! We’ve played TattsLotto ever since we got married 40 years ago,” she added.
The winning TattsLotto 12-game QuickPick ticket was purchased from Woori Yallock Newsagency, Shop 4 in The Centre, Warburton Highway in Woori Yallock.
Also in draw 3431 on the weekend, a Super 66 prize of $59,664.25 was won with a ticket purchased from Coles Express Ringwood, 5-11 Mt Dandenong Road, Ringwood.
