While fast food giants McDonalds and Hungry Jacks have spent millions trying to convince us to fork out just $2 on one of their value items, one punter is glad he resisted the lure of a snack and invested his gold coin on two identical four-leg fixed odds multis on Saturday's races.
From the Gladstone region in Queensland, this cluey punter headed to Morphettville Parks in South Australia for his first two legs. In race three, Stimulate at around $16 was his selection, while in race four it was Capodecino, which was $17. Both were ridden by Amy Hermann, and both duly saluted.
From there, our mystery man headed north for winners at the Brisbane Racing Carnival. His first selection was Havana, which took out the Fred Best Classic at the juicy odds of $13. The fourth and final leg of his multi was in the main race of the day, the Doomben Cup. Everything was riding on Guy Walter's bonny mare, Streama.
After a perfect ride by Blake Shinn, Streama saluted, giving this punter a dream result. His four leg multi produced odds of 6,739.2. Two minutes after investing $1.00 on the bold multi, Mr X had exacly the same bet again!
All up, his two $1 investments returned $13,478.40!!!!!!!
Maybe you can do something similar on the Doomben 10,000 this Saturday!
