Eight Queensland winners share in $21 million Superdraw!

Monday 19 May, 2014 - Eight Queenslanders are celebrating after winning a division one share in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto $21 Million Superdraw! 

The winning tickets were spread throughout the state, from Thursday Island to the Gold Coast, with each entry winning a first division prize of $1,105,263.16! 

Winning entries were purchased from Golden Casket outlets in Thursday Island, Atherton, Townsville, Laidley, Redbank, Darra, Beenleigh and on the Gold Coast. 

Wedding bells for Laidley winners 

A local couple have said they’ll bring their wedding plans forward after winning a first division share worth $1,105,263.16 in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto $21 Million Superdraw! 

“We never buy Gold Lotto tickets. It was a spontaneous purchase!” the excited bride to be exclaimed. 

“I realised we had the winning numbers when I checked our ticket after the draw on Saturday night. I was a bit of a shaking mess! 

“We’ve been putting off our wedding because we just couldn’t afford it. This Saturday Gold Lotto win means we’ll be able to bring our wedding forward!” 

The winners, who wish to remain anonymous, said they also plan to use their million dollar Superdraw windfall to pay off their mortgage and take a holiday – perhaps even a dream honeymoon. 

The winning 36-game QuickPick was purchased at NewsXpress Laidley, 122 Patrick Street in Laidley. 

Dream come true for Atherton winner 

An Atherton Grandmother is celebrating becoming one of the state’s newest millionaires after winning a share in division one in the Saturday Gold Lotto $21 Million Superdraw. 

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, was unaware she’d won a division one prize of $1,105,263.16 until a Golden Casket official contacted her this morning with the exciting news. 

“Oh goodness! This is fantastic!” the emotional winner said. 

“I can’t believe this. I actually had a dream that I won Gold Lotto a couple of months ago!” 

The winner said she plans to use her Saturday Gold Lotto division one prize to pay off her mortgage and take a much needed holiday. 

“You don’t know how much this means to me!” 

The winning 12-game QuickPick was purchased at Summers Newsagency, 25b Main Street in Atherton. 

Early retirement for Redbank winner 

A travelling businessman who purchased his Saturday Gold Lotto ticket in Redbank is more than a million dollars richer after winning a share in the weekend’s $21 Million Superdraw! 

The winner, who is in his 40s, told a Golden Casket official he purchased his winning ticket on the spur of the moment. 

“I was walking through the shopping centre and a voice in my head told me to go and buy a ticket!” the shocked winner exclaimed. 

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, said his $1,105,263.16 division one prize will allow him to retire early down the track and have more time for community work. 

“I also want to share the prize money with family and set our kids up financially.” 

The winning 18-game QuickPick was sold at Collingwood Park Newsagency, Shop 110, Level 1 in Redbank Plaza, 1 Collingwood Drive in Redbank.

A Saturday Gold Lotto $21 Million Superdraw entry purchased at NewsXpress Monier in Darra has won a first division share in weekend’s draw. 

The winning entry was registered to a Winners Circle card so Golden Casket is attempting to contact the winner with official news of their win. 

The division one winning entry was purchased at NewsXpress Monier, Shop 2 in Monier Village Shopping Centre, 166 Monier Road in Darra. 

Winning entry from Beenleigh 

An entry purchased at Nextra Beenleigh Marketplace has won a $1.1 million first division share in weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto Superdraw.

$1.1 million winning ticket purchased in Townsville

An entry purchased at Lucky Charm Townsville in Stockland Plaza, 310 Ross River Road in Townsville, has won first division share in weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto $21 Million Superdraw.

The winner, who wishes to remain completely anonymous, has come forward to claim their prize.

Throughout Australia, there were 19 entries that won a first division share of the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto $21 Million Superdraw, each worth $1,105,263.16. Along with eight winning entries purchased in Queensland, four were sold in New South Wales, four in Victoria, one was purchased in South Australia, and two in Western Australia. 

The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3425 on 17 May 2014 were 25, 36, 22, 42, 9 and 8 with the supplementary numbers of 28 and 33.
