Monday 12 May, 2014 - For the second time in two weeks, someone who purchased their Powerball ticket in the Hunter Region has won a huge $6 million in Powerball!
The first division winner scooped the entire division one prize pool of $6 million in last Thursday’s draw, but chances are they haven’t yet realised they’re a multi-millionaire!
NSW Lotteries is waiting for the holder of an unregistered division one winning entry from last Thursday’s Powerball draw to come forward and claim their life-changing Powerball windfall.
NSW Lotteries spokesperson Belinda McDougall said unfortunately the winning entry was not registered to a NSW Lotteries Players Club card, so there’s no way of contacting the winner to tell them the amazing news.
“We are encouraging customers who purchased an unregistered ticket in Powerball draw 938 from Nextra Glendale in Stockland Glendale Shopping Centre to check their wallets, handbags, pockets, glove boxes, drawers and even on the fridge door for the winning ticket,” Ms McDougall said.
“Mother’s Day was yesterday so there’s even the possibility that the winning ticket could have been purchased as an early gift and put into a Mother’s Day card!
“The winning ticket is worth $6 million so we recommend anyone who believes they are holding the winning entry to keep it in a safe place and contact NSW Lotteries immediately to start the prize claim process.
“We always encourage players to register their entries to a NSW Lotteries Players Club card because it not only ensures their prize is secure, but it also means we can contact them directly with news of a first division win.”
The winner scooped the entire $6 million division one prize pool in last week’s Powerball draw 938. The winning unregistered entry was purchased from Nextra Glendale, Shop 33 in Stockland Glendale Shopping Centre, Lake Road in Glendale.
The winning numbers in Powerball draw 938 were 13, 21, 8, 28, 34 and 7; the Powerball was number 4.
