Tuesday 8 April, 2014 - Cessnock Plaza Newsagency has chalked up another division one win after a Monday Lotto entry purchased at the store picked up a $1 million division one prize in last night’s draw.
The winner, who wishes to remain completely anonymous, has come forward and claimed their $1 million first division prize.
Owner of Cessnock Plaza Newsagency, John Chalmers, said this is the second time the store has sold a division one winning entry in less than twelve months.
“We sold a division one winning entry in last year’s Mid-Year Megadraw worth $2.5 million,” Mr Chalmers said.
“It’s wonderful to know that another person who bought their ticket here is now celebrating becoming a new millionaire!
“Powerball has jackpotted to $40 million this week, so who knows if the winning streak will continue. Selling a division one winning entry in Thursday night’s draw would be the cherry on top!”
The winning Monday Lotto entry was sold at Cessnock Plaza Newsagency, Shop 2 in Cessnock Plaza, corner Darwin and Keene Streets in Cessnock.
There were four entries from New South Wales that won a first division prize in Monday Lotto which offers a guaranteed $1 million division one prize for up to four winners in every draw. The other winning entries were purchased in Forster, Kotara and Winston Hills.
The winning numbers in Monday Lotto draw 3336 on 8 April 2014 were 35, 2, 20, 15, 30 and 25 with the supplementary numbers 7 and 34.
