$6 million winning Powerball ticket sold in Hunter Region!

Monday 28 April, 2014 - A Blacktown couple had an unforgettable long weekend after the Powerball ticket they purchased in Shoal Bay scooped the entire $6 million division one prize pool in last Thursday night’s draw.

The new multi-millionaires told a NSW Lotteries official that they were dumbfounded by the official news of their Powerball win.

“It’s so unbelievable!” the wife exclaimed.

“We were actually on holidays with the family when my husband went out and bought our Powerball ticket.

“On Saturday morning he checked our ticket. He came home shaking and singing out that we’d won Powerball! We’ve struggled all our lives so this is just incredible.

“A new home and retirement are now on the cards. We want to set the kids up so we don’t have to worry about them any more.”

The winning 24-game QuickPick entry was purchased at Shoal Bay Newsagency, Shop 32 in Bay Village, Shoal Bay Road in Shoal Bay.

The winning numbers in Powerball draw 936 on Thursday 24 April 2014 were 33, 36, 8, 15, 21 and 19 and the Powerball was number 3.
