Mystery millionaire claims Ararat TattsLotto prize!

Thursday 17 April, 2014 - A man in his fifties will have an ‘egg-stra’ special Easter this year after discovering he won more than $1 million in last weekend’s TattsLotto draw with a ticket from Ararat!

The local winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, said he didn’t know that Tatts had been looking for the mystery millionaire who won a share in division one worth $1,015,213.50 with an unregistered ticket.

“I’m a bit shaky right now,” the stunned winner admitted after being told he was a millionaire.

“Now that I know my TattsLotto ticket won first division, I really wished I’d checked it on Monday!” he jokingly added.

“I’m looking forward to having my prize money in the bank! I’ll pay the mortgage first and the bills will go too!”

The winning TattsLotto 18-game QuickPick ticket was purchased from Harris Newsagency, 150-152 Barkly Street in Ararat.

Throughout Australia, there were four entries that won a first division share of TattsLotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool on 12 April 2014, each worth $1,015,213.50. Along with the two winning entries from Victoria, there was one purchased in South Australia and one in Western Australia.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3415 on 12 April 2014 were 28, 13, 20, 18, 45 and 21 with the supplementary numbers of 41 and 23.
