Central Coast Mariners welcome struggling FC Seol to Central Coast Stadium on Wednesday night knowing a win could guarantee them qualification through to the knock-out stage of the AFC Champions League. Although on paper it shows first versus last, a win for FC Seoul could see them leapfrog above all three teams in Group F  and snatch first position heading into the final match day.

Coming off an impressive 2-0  away victory over Premier Plate winner Brisbane, Central Coast will be looking to build on its momentum ahead of three crucial games in the next eight days. They have the luxury of bringing back South Korean playmaker Kim Seung-Yong and will most likely bring in striker Matt Simon, who knows how to put the ball into the back of the net.

FC Seoul looks like a completely different team that finished fourth in its domestic league last season and came close to winning the Champion’s League. With just one win in their first eight matches, Choi Yong-Soo’s men will need to lift their game if they are going to challenge the Mariners.

In an even group, three points would be a huge boost to either team, but realistically there's only one in-form side heading into this encounter. The Mariners have won six of their past eight, while Seoul has enjoyed just one victory since the start of March. However, their only win in the ACL this season came at the expense of the Central Coast 2-0 in South Korea.
