Thursday 10 April, 2014 - A group of Cairns office workers who play Gold Lotto together have now won together, after scoring a division one share in Saturday Gold Lotto!
In addition to the first division prize, the 10-member syndicate also won in third division, making the total prize worth $591,359.06 in the weekend’s draw, or more than $59,000 each.
“You’re kidding! Oh my god! I’ll be sharing this prize with nine other people,” the syndicate leader exclaimed.
“We’ve been playing Gold Lotto together for years. I can’t even remember how many years because it’s been so long!
“Everybody will be ecstatic when I tell them that we’ve won Saturday Gold Lotto!”
The syndicate leader was completely unaware of the first division win until she checked her ticket this afternoon. While the entry was registered to a Winners Circle card, the winner’s contact details were out-of-date so Golden Casket was unable to reach her earlier in the week with the big news.
It’s a timely reminder for all Winners Circle card members to make sure they update their personal details if they change their phone number or home address so they can be contacted by Golden Casket if they win a division one prize.
The division one winning Saturday Gold Lotto System 7 recorded entry was purchased at NewsExtra DFO Cairns, Shop 255 in DFO Cairns, 274 Mulgrave Road in Cairns.
It’s the second division one winning entry NewsExtra DFO Cairns has sold this year! Golden Casket is still searching for the mystery multi-millionaire who won a division one prize worth $2 million in Wednesday Gold Lotto on 22 January 2014 with an unregistered ticket purchased at NewsExtra DFO Cairns.
Throughout Australia, there were seven entries that won a first division share in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw, each worth $583,868.36. There were three winning entries from Queensland, another three were sold in South Australia, and one winning ticket was purchased in New South Wales.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3413 on 5 April 2014 were 24, 29, 22, 39, 36 and 1 with the supplementary numbers of 45 and 6.
