Tuesday 1 April, 2014 - It’s not a joke! There’s a mystery millionaire on the loose in Sydney following the weekend’s Saturday Lotto $21 Million Superdraw!
A Saturday Lotto player who purchased their ticket from World Newsagency Metcentre has won a share in first division worth $1.9 million but has yet to come forward and claim their Superdraw prize from NSW Lotteries.
As their entry was not registered to a Players Club card, NSW Lotteries is unable to contact the mystery winner.
NSW Lotteries spokesperson Belinda McDougall said there is a chance this winner is unaware they’re one of the state’s newest millionaires!
“NSW Lotteries is encouraging all unregistered Saturday Lotto customers who purchased a ticket in the weekend’s $21 Million Superdraw to check their entry today,” Ms McDougall.
“Given today is April Fool’s Day, I expect it might take a little longer to convince the mystery winner that this isn’t a joke and they are $1.9 million richer!”
The winning Saturday Lotto $21 Million Superdraw entry was purchased from World Newsagency Metcentre, Shop G11 in the Metcentre, 273 George Street in Sydney.
Throughout Australia, there were 11 entries that won a first division share of the weekend’s Saturday Lotto $21 Million Superdraw, each worth $1,909,090.91. There were two winning entries from New South Wales, three each in Queensland and South Australia, two were from Victoria, and one winning ticket was sold in Western Australia.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 3411 on 29 March 2014 were 22, 26, 21, 29, 10 and 41 with the supplementary numbers of 25 and 27.
