It's that time of year in Victoria - TattsLotto luck strikes again!

Monday 3 March, 2014 - Two Tatts outlets in Victoria experienced déjà vu on the weekend when they sold division one winning TattsLotto entries close to the very anniversary of their last major win!

Somerville Newsagency sold a $1 million TattsLotto prize in Saturday’s draw on 1 March 2014, 12-months and one week after selling a $500,000 TattsLotto prize on 23 February 2013.

Similarly, Doncaster Hill Tatts & Liquor sold a $1 million division one prize to a syndicate on Saturday, four years since selling a $660,000 prize on 27 February 2010 and $1 million a week later on 6 March 2010.

It appears the seasonal change has been fortuitous for TattsLotto players in Victoria! The winner’s stories are below.

Superstition proved wrong for Somerville TattsLotto millionaire

A Somerville woman said she is pinching herself today after winning more than $1 million in Saturday’s TattsLotto draw!

“I’m so glad you called, I thought I was dreaming all this!” the division one winner exclaimed to a Tatts official.

“I thought for sure I wouldn’t win on the weekend because when the guy at the newsagency served me I thought, ‘I never win anything when he sells me tickets!’ I had a bit of a superstition about it but this time he had the magic touch!

“When I checked the winning numbers online about half past 10 on Saturday night I started shaking like a leaf. I walked into the lounge room and told my husband, ‘I think we’ve won TattsLotto!’”

The winning woman said she and her husband have a long wish-list of things they’d like to achieve with their $1,042,666.65 TattsLotto windfall.

“We’ll be able to retire in a few years after paying off our mortgage and clearing ourselves of debt, then we’ll finally be debt-free and able to afford the overseas cruise we’ve been dreaming of!” the winner said.

“My husband and I have said that we’re glad we won at this age in our 60s while we’re still able to enjoy the prize money and help set our children up with their own homes.”

The winning TattsLotto 36-game QuickPick entry was purchased from Somerville Newsagency, Shop 24 in Somerville Plaza, Eramosa Road West in Somerville.

Doncaster syndicate splits $1 million prize

Ten customers of Doncaster Hill Tatts & Liquor are each $106,516.15 richer thanks to purchasing a share in a TattsLotto System 9 syndicate that won a division one prize of $1 million on the weekend.

Owner of Doncaster Hill Tatts & Liquor Princy Singh said he was thrilled for his customers.

“It’s exciting to sell a major prize like this as I’ve only owned the Tatts outlet for a few months. I hope to sell many more major prizes to our customers!” Mr Singh said.

The division one winning TattsLotto System 9 marked entry was purchased from Doncaster Hill Tatts & Liquor, 692 Doncaster Road in Doncaster.

Throughout Australia, there were four entries that won a first division share of TattsLotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool on 1 March 2014, each worth $1,042,666.65. Along with the two winning entries from Victoria, there was one each in South Australia and Western Australia.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3403 on 1 March 2014 were 13, 4, 33, 39, 35 and 45 with the supplementary numbers of 14 and 29.
