It’s a mouth-watering contest which will have a huge impact on the race for the EPL title – front-runner Chelsea hosting third-placed Arsenal at Stamford Bridge. Under threat from Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City (which has 3 games in hand), this is a chance for the Blues to make a statement.

Relatively unscathed after a midweek EUFA Champions League 2-0 win over Galatasaray, Chelsea is undefeated at home in its last 15 matches. In fact, Jose Mourinho’s men haven’t conceded a goal at the Bridge in their last six games games, whilst finding the net 11 times. Last weekend’s shock 1-0 loss to Villa, ended the Blue Lions’ run of 14 games without defeat. The club has also been bouyed by news that captain John Terry is close to signing a deal which would see him finish his career at Chelsea.

The Gunners are coming off a 1-0 away win over Tottenham and are four points behind Chelsea with a game in hand (the same as Liverpool). Victory here would equate to a six point turnaround on the competition leaders. However, Arsenal do have a number of injury concerns.

Earlier this season, these two sides fought out a 0-0 draw.
