North Coast man turns $4 into $10,000 with second chance!

Thursday 13 March, 2013 - A man from the state’s far north coast is now $10,000 richer thanks to his non-winning Instant Scratch-Its $4 ticket and NSW Lotteries’ Scratch eClub Second Chance Draw.

The shocked winner said that he was extremely surprised when NSW Lotteries contacted him with the good news.

“I just couldn’t believe it!” the man exclaimed.

“Obviously I’m very, very happy,” he added.

Although the winning man has only been a Scratch eClub member for six months, he believes it has paid off for him.

“I heard about the Scratch eClub from a friend last year,” he told a NSW Lotteries official.

“I thought I should give it a go and started entering all my non-winning tickets. I’m really glad I did!”

“Even though it’s only a small amount, this win is definitely life-changing for me,” he said smiling.

“I’ll be able to share the money with family and even treat myself to a holiday!”

Every month NSW Lotteries Scratch eClub members are given the chance to turn their eligible non-winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket into a winner. Scratch eClub is free to join and there are often a number of prizes to be won each month.

Players simply need to register as a Scratch eClub member online at www.scratcheclub.com.

NSW Lotteries Public Relations Manager Elissa Lewis said that the Scratch eClub monthly second chance draws are a great way for members to have additional chances to win.

“Scratch eClub members just need to enter their eligible non-winning NSW Lotteries Instant Scratch-Its tickets into the monthly second chance draw for another chance to win,” Ms Lewis said.

“Just don’t forget to hold onto your ticket, you will need it to claim your prize,” she added.

“There is $10,000 up for grabs in the March draw so get scratching!”
