Monday 3 February, 2014 - A local man who purchased his Saturday Lotto entry in Gladesville said he’ll use some of his division one windfall to start his own business after winning more than $680,000 in the weekend’s Lotto draw!
The man in his 20s spoke with a NSW Lotteries official today about the shock of winning a first division Lotto prize of $684,316.45.
“That’s some serious money! It hasn’t sunk in yet. I’m still in shock,” the winner exclaimed.
“Yesterday I went to grab something to eat and decided to check my Saturday Lotto entry while I was out; that’s when I found out I’d won first division!”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, said he already knows what he’ll do with his Saturday Lotto windfall.
“I’ll be using the money to buy myself a house and have savings left over to set myself up in my own business down the track.”
The man purchased his winning Saturday Lotto 24-game QuickPick entry from Office ‘N’ News, Shop 1 in Gladesville Shopping Centre, 1 – 7 Flagstaff Street in Gladesville.
Throughout Australia, there were six entries that won a first division share of Saturday Lotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool in draw 3395, each worth $684,316.45. Along with the winning entry in New South Wales, three winning entries were purchased in Queensland, and one each in Victoria and South Australia.
