Monday 3 February, 2014 - A retired man from Brisbane’s Southside has described his division one win in Saturday Gold Lotto as “beautiful".
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, won a share in first division worth $684,316.45 in the weekend’s draw.
“I’ve played Saturday Gold Lotto for quite a few years now but this is the first time I’ve won the big one! It’s beautiful,” the happy winner said.
“I was up early yesterday reading the newspaper and I decided to check my Saturday Gold Lotto entry. Before I knew it I’d circled four numbers, then five numbers and by the end sure enough there they were; all six of them!
“I told my wife when she woke up but she wouldn’t believe me!
“I’m not too sure yet what I’ll spend my Gold Lotto winnings on but I’ve got a few things on my list,” the winner added.
