Wednesday 19 February, 2014 - A woman from the Toronto area is in the market for a new home after winning $1 million in Monday Lotto!
The winner in her 50s, was in disbelief when NSW Lotteries confirmed she was a millionaire after she won first division in Monday night’s draw.
“RealIy? But I’ve never won anything in my life!” the ecstatic winner exclaimed.
“I’m so excited I think I’ll have a heart attack before I even claim this prize. Are you sure you’re not joking?
“I was only whinging the other day that I wasn’t winning with my registered numbers. I was even considering changing them!”
The hardworking winner said she wants to use her $1 million Monday Lotto windfall to buy a new home and go on a well-deserved holiday.
“I’ll also share some of my prize with my family and I want to put air-conditioning in my parents’ home!”
The winning 6-game recorded entry was purchased at The Lucky Charm Toronto, 66 The Boulevard in Toronto.
It’s the second big win in two months for the newsagency which sold the $7 million winning Lucky Lotteries $2 Jackpot ticket in December.
Throughout Australia, there were two entries that won a first division prize in Monday Lotto which offers a guaranteed division one prize of $1 million for up to four winners in each draw. Along with the Toronto winning entry, the other winning ticket was purchased in Victoria.
The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3322 on Monday 17 February 2014 were 24, 18, 21, 16, 3 and 19 with the supplementary numbers of 2 and 42.
