In fourth place, just four points behind leader Chelsea, Liverpool is a genuine title contender in the English Premier League. But at the moment, manager Brendan Rodgers has his sights set on Wembley and claiming the FA Cup. To do that, the Reds must topple Arsenal for the second time in just over a week.
Liverpool is in a purple patch, unbeaten in 2014 in the EPL. During that time, the Reds have won five of seven matches, including a 5-1 demolition of Arsenal at Anfield last weekend. This time, the match will be played at the Emirates Stadium, where the Gunners enjoyed a 2-0 victory in early November. But with a mid-week clash against European champion Bayern Munich, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is looking to make wholesale changes. Lukasz Fabianski is set to take over from Wojciech Szczesny in goal, with Lukas Podolski, Nicklas Bendtner, Mathieu Famani, Nacho Monreal and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain coming into the starting line-up.
Liverpool is backing up after a 3-2 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage, where captain Steven Gerrard nailed a last minute penalty to secure maximum points. The Reds have chalked up 17 goals in the past six matches, even though their leading marksman Luis Suarez has been really quiet with just one.
