Melbourne man wins two major lotto prizes in two weeks!

Thursday 9 January, 2014 - A Northern Melbourne man became a millionaire overnight when his Wednesday Lotto entry won a first division prize of $1 million!

His shock at the official division one winner’s phone call from Tatts today was magnified as he’d experienced another major lotto win just a fortnight ago.

“I’ve been buying lotto tickets since the ‘80s. I’ve never missed a week but never won more than a few hundred bucks,” the winner in his 50s explained.

“Then two weeks ago I won a division two prize in Powerball of around $100,000, and now you’re telling me I won $1 million last night!

“2014 is the year my luck changed!” he said happily.

The winner said he can hardly believe his good fortune but had already been planning to share his smaller windfall with family.

“We were already going to share the $100,000 with the kids to help them with house deposits, but now we’ll be able to set them up better,” the winning man said.

“My darling partner and I will buy a holiday home for us to use too.”

The division one winning 24-game QuickPick Wednesday entry in Monday & Wednesday Lotto was purchased from Northland Newsagency, Shop C13 in Northland Shopping Centre, 2-50 Murray Road in Preston.

The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto, draw 3311, on Wednesday 8 January 2014 were 21, 19, 29, 5, 15 and 4 with the supplementary numbers 9 and 6.

Monday & Wednesday Lotto guarantees a $1 million division one prize for up to four winners every Monday and Wednesday.

Tickets are now on sale for Powerball’s $6 million draw tonight!
