Monday 20 January, 2014 - A Banora Point man has claimed a Saturday Lotto prize worth more than $500,000 from the weekend’s Lotto draw!
The man spoke with a NSW Lotteries official today about the shock of winning a first division Lotto prize.
“As soon as I checked the winning Lotto numbers on the internet and knew I’d won I breathed a sigh of relief,” the winner said.
“I’ve been playing for around 30 years but it still came as a shock to have my own numbers come up!
“I’ll be using the prize money to settle the mortgage and pay off some other debts,” he added.
The man purchased his winning Saturday Lotto System 8 marked entry from Banora Point Newsagency, Shops E6 and E7, Banora Point Shopping Village, 7 Leisure Drive in Banora Point. The System 8 entry type won a first division prize of $513,011.97 along with other divisional prizes for a total of $524,062.77.
Throughout Australia, there were eight entries that won a first division share of Saturday Lotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool in draw 3391, each worth $513,011.97. Along with the winning entry purchased in NSW, there were three winning entries purchased in Queensland, two in Western Australia, and one each was purchased in Victoria and South Australia.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 3391on 18 January 2014 were 10, 9, 1, 27, 13 and 39 with the supplementary numbers of 15 and 28.
Tickets for Saturday Lotto’s $20 Million Superdraw on 15 February are now on sale from all NSW Lotteries outlets and online from Tatts.com. A Superdraw ticket would make the perfect addition to a Valentine’s Day card for a loved one!
