Thursday 16 January, 2014 - Three division one winners of Saturday Lotto Megadraws have yet to discover they are millionaires! Two of the valuable prizes were won this month, but one has remained unclaimed for three years!
Two NSW winners from the most recent Saturday Lotto Megadraw on 4 January 2014 are both yet to claim their $1.4 million prize, while a winner from a Megadraw on 31 December 2010 has now allowed three years to pass without claiming their $1.6 million prize!
In the New Year’s Eve Megadraw three years ago, a division one prize of $1,631,578.95 was won in Saturday Lotto Megadraw 3073 on 31 December 2010. The ticket was not registered to a Players Club card and was purchased from NewsXpress Castle Towers (now trading as Nextra Castle Towers), Shop 268 on Level 2 at 6 - 14 Castle Street in Castle Hill.
More recently, a division one prize of $1,428,571.43 was won in Saturday Lotto’s $30 Million Megadraw 3387 on 4 January 2014. The ticket was not registered and was purchased from Office N News, Shop 1 in Gladesville Shopping Centre, Flagstaff Street in Gladesville.
In the same Megadraw on 4 January 2014, another prize of $1,428,571.43 was won from Chester Square Newsagency, Shop 14A in Chester Square Shopping Centre in Chester Hill. The winning entry was unregistered and the prize remains unclaimed.
NSW Lotteries spokesperson Zoe Knobel said she hopes players have kept their Saturday Lotto Megadraw tickets safe and will come forward to claim their prizes as soon as possible.
“There are currently three major Saturday Lotto Megadraw prizes that are waiting to be claimed by the rightful winners,” Ms Knobel said.
“Two of these, worth more than $1.4 million each, have gone wanting for a fortnight since our most recent Megadraw, but the third, worth more than $1.6 million, has been collecting dust for three years!
“It’s quite rare that such valuable Saturday Lotto prizes would remain unclaimed for a week, let alone years,” Ms Knobel added.
“This is why we encourage NSW Lotteries players to register their lotto purchases to a Players Club card. Registering their entries ensures players’ prizes are secure and we’ll also personally deliver the good news should their entry win a division one prize.
“So if you purchased an unregistered ticket in the Saturday Lotto Megadraw on 4 January 2014 from Gladesville or Chester Hill, or in the New Year’s Eve Megadraw on 31 December 2010 from Castle Hill, check that ticket today!
“Anyone who believes they are holding a division one winning Megadraw ticket should keep it in a safe place and contact NSW Lotteries as soon as possible to start the prize claim process,” Ms Knobel added.
