Thursday 5 September, 2013 - A Gold Coast woman is in shock after discovering she’d been a millionaire for nearly one month and didn’t even know it!
The stunned winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, won a division one share in last month’s Saturday Gold Lotto $20 Million Superdraw worth $1,052,631.58!
Golden Casket hadn’t been able to contact the registered winner after the draw on 10 August, and only spoke to her today after she was prompted to call.
“Before I called Golden Casket, my husband said to me, ‘How much do you think it could be?’ I said probably $500!” the winner exclaimed.
“This is amazing! I don’t think I’ve ever changed those numbers so I must have been playing them for decades.”
The stunned winner said it was too soon to say what she’ll do with her winnings but she did want to share the windfall.
“I’ll be able to help a few people. This is so lovely!”
The winning registered entry was purchased from The Lucky Charm Broadbeach, Shop G35 in Oasis Shopping Centre, Victoria Avenue in Broadbeach.
Throughout Australia, there were nineteen entries that won a first division share in Saturday Lotto’s $20 Million Superdraw on 10 August 2013, each worth $1,052,631.58. Along with the six winning entries from Queensland, there were four winning tickets sold in New South Wales, another eight in Victoria, and one in Tasmania.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 3345 on 10 August were 8, 18, 21, 23, 27 and 37 with the supplementary numbers of 22 and 6.
