Saturday Gold Lotto win 'magic' for Innisfail man!

Monday 30 September, 2013 - An Innisfail newsagency has sold its second Saturday Gold Lotto division one winning entry in less than two months!

A local man in his 60s was shocked to discover he’d won a first division share worth more than $700,000 in the weekend’s draw.

“You’re kidding me? Oh that’s magic!” the winner exclaimed.

“I’ve played every Saturday since Gold Lotto began. I picked my numbers on day one and I’ve been playing them ever since.”

When asked by a Golden Casket official if he plans to celebrate today, the excited winner replied, “You better believe it!”

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, said he’s unsure at the moment what he’ll do with his windfall.

“I’m just going to leave it in the bank for a little while.”

The man purchased his 12-game entry in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3359 from Book Centre Newsagency, 34 Edith Street in Innisfail.

In August, the same newsagency sold a division one winning entry in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3343, worth more than $830,000!

Throughout Australia, there were six entries that won a first division share in Saturday Gold Lotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool, each worth $711,153.21. Along with the two winning entries from Queensland, there were two winning tickets sold in Victoria, and another two were purchased in Western Australia.

The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3359 on 28 September 2013 were 27, 34, 13, 37, 21 and 1 with the supplementary numbers 15 and 45.
