Tuesday 24 September, 2013 - A couple who purchased their entry in TattsLotto’s $21 Million Superdraw in Swan Hill have claimed their first division prize of more than $1.6 million!
The couple, who have chosen to remain anonymous, contacted Tatts to claim their $1,615,384.62 prize after hearing someone in town had won big.
“My partner said she’d heard that someone had won more than a million dollars in TattsLotto out here and she reminded me to check my ticket!” the winning man said.
“I don’t think we’ll be doing anything crazy with the money. I’m a bit frugal, you’ve only got to ask my partner that!” he laughed.
When asked if he’d be celebrating with a bottle of champagne, the winner was very candid in his response as he likens it to drain cleaner.
“I might have a drink, but it won’t be champagne! The stuff tastes like Drano!”
The winners said they plan to do some travelling with their TattsLotto windfall.
“We’ll buy a little caravan and go around in that,” the winner said.
The winning 18-game QuickPick TattsLotto entry was purchased from Beardsley’s Swan Hill News, 212 Campbell Street in Swan Hill.
