The struggling Eels  welcome fullback Jarryd Hayne back for the first time since round 13 when they host the Tigers  at Parramatta Stadium on Friday night. His teammates have failed to win a game while he has been out of action, with the clubs winless run extended to ten matches with last week’s 40-6 defeat at the hands of Manly. Luke Kelly also returns, at the expense of Api Pewhairangi in the halves, while Daniel Harrison has been named to start in place of Mitch Allgood, who drops back to the bench.

While Parramatta welcomes one of their most influential players back, the Tigers will be without theirs, with skipper Robbie Farah ruled out of the match after breaking his finger in his sides 36-6 defeat to the Titans in round 21. 21 year-old Joel Luani will make his NRL debut at hooker, but former Kangaroos centre Chris Lawrence is also out after being ruled out for the rest of the season with an ankle injury. Fijian flyer Marika Koroibete will play just his ninth match of the year after being recalled to the squad with in-form back Tim Simona moving to centre.

1st Tryscorer

Parramatta winger Semi Radradra  is one of eight players to make their NRL debut for the club this season and has been solid enough in his four matches. He was the only Eel to get across the line against Manly in round 21 and doubled his try tally after bagging a four pointer against the Bulldogs a week earlier.

Marika Koroibete  was the name on everybody's lips at the end of last season after scoring seven tries in six matches but his opportunities in 2013 have been restricted by injury. He has three tries from eight appearances this season and will fancy his chances of getting on the scoresheet against a team that has conceded 80 points in the past fortnight.

Prediction

The Tigers have won four in a row against Parramatta and you would normally think they’d have little trouble seeing off the woeful Eels here, but the absence of Farah and also Aaron Woods – who will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury – complicates things. All three of the Eels wins in 2013 have come at Parramatta Stadium and they could go close to get a fourth if the Hayne Plane takes off. Parramatta Eels by 4
