$850,000 Saturday Gold Lotto win sold in Newmarket!

Monday 26 August, 2013 - A Golden Casket player is starting the week more than $850,000 richer after a ticket purchased in Newmarket won them a share in division one in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw!

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, came forward today to claim their first division and other divisional prizes totalling $856,291.03.

The winning entry was purchased from Newmarket Casket and News on Newmarket Road.

Outlet owners Richard and Siriol Lewis were thrilled to discover they’d sold another division one winning entry.

“We really hope the winner is one of our regular customers who lives locally,” Mr Lewis said.

“This is the second time we’ve sold a division one winning entry since we opened the store.

“In September last year we sold a division one winning ticket worth $1 million in Wednesday Gold Lotto.

“Now with two big wins under our belt, we’re looking for the hat-trick!”

The winning entry was purchased at Newmarket Casket and News, Shop 118, 400 Newmarket Road in Newmarket.

Throughout Australia, there were five entries that won a first division share of Saturday Lotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool, worth $839,810.08.

Along with the winning ticket purchased in Newmarket, two winning entries were sold in New South Wales, and one was purchased in Victoria and South Australia.

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 3349 on 24 August 2013 were 37, 12, 15, 16, 42 and 45 with the supplementary numbers of 6 and 9.

There is another chance for players to win big this week with $15 million up for grabs in Tuesday’s Oz Lotto draw!
