Ins and outs

Port Adelaide has had a relatively good run with injuries this season, but former captain Dominic Cassisi is out with a hamstring problem this weekend. Enigmatic forward John Butcher has a hip problem, while Kane Mitchell has been omitted. Cameron Hitchcock, Campbell Heath and Tom Jonas come in to the 22.

Gold Coast veteran Nathan Bock squeezed out a couple of AFL games after his lengthy rehabilitation from a broken leg, but after limping off against Melbourne, he won’t be seen again this season. Campbell Brown is out suspended….again…while Sam Day (hamstring) and Alex Sexton (shoulder) are also sidelined. Young quartet Jack Hutchins, Jackson Allen, Andrew Boston and Josh Hall come in to the team.

Prediction

Two seasons back Gold Coast got its first win in the AFL after a massive final quarter comeback at AAMI Stadium against Port Adelaide. Don’t expect the same to happen this weekend. Former Suns assistant Ken Hinkley has done a fantastic job with Power this season, and when they played up at Metricon Stadium earlier this year, they put his old team to the sword with a superb second quarter display. As impressive as they have been this year, the young Suns side looked fatigued against Melbourne last week after coming back from Perth the week before. The fact they were only able to scrape past the abysmal Demons doesn’t augur well for this clash. Port Adelaide by 32 points .
